2026-01-203 min readJob Agent PH

1. Research ang Employer at Country

Alamin ang basics tungkol sa:

  • Ano ang work ng employer? (Family? Company? Hospital?)
  • Ano ang culture ng bansang pupuntahan mo?
  • Ano ang basic laws para sa workers doon?

2. Practice Your English (o Arabic Basics)

Karamihan ng interviews ay in English. Practice speaking clearly at confidently.

Para sa Middle East, matuto ng basic Arabic greetings:

  • Marhaba = Hello
  • Shukran = Thank you
  • Na'am = Yes
  • La = No

3. Prepare Your Documents

Kahit video call ang interview, have these ready:

  • Resume/CV
  • Certificates
  • Valid ID
  • Photos

Sa Mismong Interview

DO's:

  • Dress neatly — kahit video call, magpakita ng professionalism
  • Smile at make eye contact (sa camera kung video call)
  • Speak clearly at moderate pace
  • Be honest — kung hindi mo alam, sabihin mo at willing kang matuto
  • Ask questions — nagpapakita ito ng genuine interest

DON'Ts:

  • Huwag mag-lie tungkol sa experience o skills
  • Huwag maging over-familiar — keep it professional
  • Huwag pag-usapan ang salary agad — let them bring it up
  • Huwag badmouth ang previous employer

Common Interview Questions (at Paano Sagutin)

Q: "Tell me about yourself."

A: Give a brief intro — name, experience, skills, at bakit ka interested sa job. Keep it under 2 minutes.

Q: "Why do you want to work abroad?"

A: Be honest pero professional. Pwede mong sabihin: "I want to provide a better life for my family while gaining international experience."

Q: "Can you work long hours?"

A: "Yes, I understand the demands of the job and I am prepared to work the required hours."

Q: "Do you have experience with elderly care / children / cooking?"

A: If yes, give specific examples. If no, say you're willing to learn at may related experience ka.

Q: "When can you start?"

A: "I can start as soon as all my documents and requirements are complete."

After the Interview

  • Say thank you
  • Follow up with your agency after 2-3 days
  • Continue applying to other employers — don't put all eggs in one basket

PRO TIP

Practice your answers with a friend or family member. Mas confident ka kapag nasanay ka na.

Ang interview ay opportunity mo to show na ikaw ang best fit para sa job. With proper preparation at confident delivery, makukuha mo ang position na gusto mo.

Good luck, future OFW!
